The Art of Layering

Fashion (if you want to call it that) can be a fickle beast. It's kind of like dating someone who you've had an eye on for a long time, but you're unsure if they are feeling you the way that you're feeling them - and when you finally drum up the courage to ask that person out, the suspense can be nerve-wracking. Well that's how I sometimes feel about fashion.

We're led to believe by common, mainstream culture that everything around us is progressing - technology is advancing, the economy is going this way or that, but deep down you may feel the exact opposite. Yes, technology may very well be progressing, but are you?

Analysing progress through numbers, pie charts and the like, can be a useful way to check on things - but it ultimately comes down to you. Everything on the outside, external world that you interact with is a reflection of the condition that’s present on the internal. If you don’t like what’s on the outside, alter and revise what’s happening on the inside. Easier said then done of course, but that’s the cusp of what I’d like to point out in regards to fashion.

Fashion can come in so many layers and there isn’t a one-size fits all. What works for you simply works for you, and what better way to express your own individuality than with layering. In Britain, that transitional period between Winter and Spring can be a strange one. Those of here in the UK are dealt a hand of unpredictability weather. That’s why at Blaque Falcon, we ensured that we’ve got ourselves covered for any situation. Our Down Jackets can easily be layered with any hoodie, and that can be complimented with any of our jogging bottoms for men or women. For when things get a little brighter, we have our Polos and Oxford Shirts that adds a "preppier" feel to your spring look.
